Trace a GATEWAY PROBLEM

Post by hilario » Tue Feb 09, 2010 1:40 pm

I have a gateway working for some months.
Some days/weeks ago we begin to have problems:
- It seams the MR system has a lot of dificulties to send the studies to the gateway (they have to retry many times before being able)
- Some times, it is imposible to send the studies to the gateway.

I suspect a problem outside the gateway (on the network)
How could I chek if there are contacts between the Facility and the gateway?
How could I chek if some study is retrying to be loaded on the gateway?
I understand it must be some LOG files where to check but I can't find where.
Thanks for the help.
Regards

Hi Hilario,

The most recent log file is located at C:\onepacs\gateway\server\default\log\server.log. If you send me the log in an email I could help you diagnose the problem. Perhaps there is some sort of timeout issue occurring intermittently.

As far as testing the connection between the facility and the gateway there should be some mechanism on your PACS or modality to perform a DICOM C-ECHO (essentially a ping message) to the gateway.

Thanks,

Justin
