Extract Reports on CSV

Post by jacintor » Thu Dec 11, 2014 7:22 am

Hello!

Every time I try to extract reports (export data to spreadsheet function) from in Portuguese, some words come out with strange symbols/characters (especially on these letters "ç", "ã", "í", etc.). How can this field be configured as text (Portuguese language) so characters would be extracted correctly?

Thanks,

Rodrigo

Hello,

Now report texts cannot even be extracted anymore. The field comes blank. Have you removed this function?

Hello -
Reports in a CSV file may start with a newline. It may appear blank when the cell is at the default height. You may need to click into the cell or expand the row height to see the report text.
Regards.

Hello Jeremy,

Thank you. Some words are showing with strange symbols. Is there a way to show Portuguese signs or even remove these signs so the report output doesn't look so strange?

Thanks,

Rodrigo

Please try to open the document using the UTF-8 character set. Open office appears to be easier to accomplish this than Microsoft Office. Open open office calc spreadsheet application and click File -> open. Find the CSV file to open. Under character set, select UTF-8. (Select separated by the comma and use the text delimiter of " (double quotes) if it is not preset to that configuration). Click Ok to import the CSV.
