Exams are loading extremely slow. Any known issues?

Hi,

There are no known issues at the time and the system metrics show that all OnePacs clusters are performing normally.

Justin

Hmmm...when we try and open cases with the remote eye viewer it is taking 5-10 minutes for a case to load. When we use the simple web viewer we have no p[problems. Any thoughts on why this might be?

The Java web viewer loads several times more data and does it all up front whereas the simple web viewer downloads only small 8-bit JPEGs, largely on demand. It's not really even comparable. If your internet was slow it would certainly be more noticeable via the java viewer.

Have you done a speed test of your local network?

Regards,

Justin

Yes and everything is moving quickly except the remote eye viewer. It usually speeds right along.

We have reset the network, tested the speed and check pretty much all we can. Everything is up, running quickly and updated but the Remote eye viewer/Java viewer is still at a snails pace. Cases are coming across from the modality quickly and with no issues. Any other ideas?

For reference I logged in from two different sites, not on our network, and had the exact same issue. Cases will not load in java or at least not for 5-10 minutes.

I tried viewing a couple large CR studies from your site (~75MB) and they completely downloaded in approximately 8 seconds - essentially maxing out my download bandwidth. Have you run a network speed test (e.g. http://speedof.me )?

Multiple times. Even if speed was the problem on this network why do I have the same issue when I use another computer on another network including my home computer? That is what is frustrating me. It is happening wherever I log in.

"Multiple times."

And what specifically was the result of your speed test? Your download speed is the primary factor in how fast the java viewer loads a study.

How is the speed when you download a study manually (right-click -> Download -> Download DICOM data)?
