Gateway with low bandwidth

Post by paulokuriki » Tue Jul 19, 2016 10:18 am

Hi

We have a costumer with a very slow upload rate (0,1 mbps)
They send CR and CT exams.

If there any suggestion to tweak their upload? A faster connection isn't available in their region.

Some difficults they have
1) when they send many CRs to gateway, it seems it tries to upload many exams at the same time.
2) sometimes they need priority for a CT but there are many CRs in the queue
3) the bigger problem is for CR that sometimes uploads only some images, even when we try do force the re-upload from gateway.

Thanks
Paulo

Hi Paulo,

You might consider reducing the concurrency of the MoveSCU to 1 which should help with the issue of your CR hitting the per-instance upload timeout.

You could also use the Forward2 service rather than the default Forward service. This would allow you to prioritize CT over CR so that that a backlog of xray would not delay CTs from uploading.

Regards,

Justin
