Pixels vs mm

Post by mindi2210 » Mon Oct 02, 2017 10:58 am

Is there a way to change the measurement in the new OnePACS Web Viewer to mm rather than pixels?

Hi,

The OnePacs Web Viewer requires that DICOM tag "Pixel Spacing" (0028,0030) be present for measurements to be translated from pixels to physical units of measure.

I am unclear on what you mean but I am guessing this is something that needs to come from the modality before it hit the OnePACS or ?

If you are not seeing mm/cm, its probably due to one of two things:

(a) image is still loading (look in lower right hand corner for "Lossy Preview")
or
(b) the pixel measurement data are not available in the DICOM tag "Pixel Spacing"

User doesnt need to set anything to see the measurements.

If there is a case where measurements dont show in distance for a reason other than the above (a) or (b) please message me privately through this forum with case information so we can look into it, or open a onepacs support ticket.
