Deprecation Notice: Java-based DICOM upload applet

Post by onepacs » Mon Jun 12, 2017 11:33 am

Support for Java applets has been removed from most modern browsers due to security concerns and thus is no longer available to a majority of our users. As a result, the Java-based DICOM uploading utility has been deprecated and will be removed in an upcoming release.

In the 10.15 release of OnePacs, we introduced an HTML5 implementation of the DICOM uploader that provides a modern web-based interface for uploading DICOM files (or zip files containing DICOM files) to the OnePacs Cloud. This implementation is faster, more secure, and is zero-footprint (no add-ons or third-party software necessary).

For more information about the modern web uploader please see the following link in the OnePacs help documentation:

Just a reminder that the Java-based DICOM uploader will be removed from the OnePacs application because it has been replaced with a more modern implementation that does not require web browser plugins. The Java-based uploader will no longer be available as of OnePacs version 13 (next major release).
