Overview
We’re excited to announce the upcoming release of OnePACS version 17.0.166, scheduled for Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

This update introduces meaningful enhancements to both security and usability—focusing on stability, smoother workflows, and a more intuitive user experience.

Below you’ll find a detailed summary of everything included in this release.

SAML SSO Enhancements
This release delivers several key improvements to strengthen Single Sign-On (SSO) compatibility and simplify configuration for administrators.
Highlights:

• Improved Compatibility with Microsoft Azure:
Updated SAML flow resolves login issues related to binding types, ensuring successful authentication through Azure AD.

• Simplified Configuration Experience:
Admins now see a dedicated Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) URL for each identity provider and are prevented from saving duplicate SSO URLs, reducing configuration errors.

• Better Certificate Handling:
Certificates with unexpected formatting (for example, extra spaces or line breaks) are now accepted.
The system also supports loading SAML certificates from environment variables for improved security management.

Result: Enhanced reliability, fewer setup headaches, and broader identity-provider compatibility across OnePACS environments.

UI & Workflow Enhancements
We’ve focused this release on making the interface more responsive and user-friendly—especially for users managing large facility networks.
Improvements:

• Facility Selector in Orders Tab:
The facility selection panel is now larger, scrollable, and includes a new “Select All” option for easier multi-site filtering. You can also manually select or deselect facilities without losing your scroll position.

• Accurate Filtering for Selected Facilities:
Fixed a bug that caused orders from unselected facilities to appear after using “Select All” within filtered lists. Only the facilities you’ve chosen will now be displayed.

• Cleaner Facility Lists in Study Fee Copy Tool:
Inactive facilities are now excluded when copying study fees from another facility—making setup faster and more accurate.

Result: A cleaner, faster interface that saves time and reduces friction when managing multiple locations.

Fixes & General Improvements
This release also resolves several issues and improves the stability of the OnePACS platform.
Fixes and Updates Include:

• Report Download Limits:
Users can now download up to 10 reports at a time directly from the worklist. A clear notification appears if the download limit is exceeded.

• Logo Display Restored:
Logos now appear correctly in PDF report downloads generated via the API.

• Cleaner Dropdown Menus:
Inactive facilities have been removed from facility filters within Report Distribution Rules, reducing clutter.

• User Management Improvements:
Facility user permissions now save correctly upon first entry, and Facility Managers can edit user accounts without triggering errors.

• Viewer Stability:
Studies now load more quickly and consistently in the workstation viewer, and summary stacks display as expected for a smoother reading experience.

Result: More consistent system performance and a noticeably cleaner day-to-day workflow.
